Service Description Agentic AI for Manufacturing Cloud Service

As of: 03.03.2026

1 Technical Functionalities / Main Functions

1.1 Description of the intended usage

The “Agentic AI for Manufacturing Cloud Service” (hereinafter “Service”) is a fully managed, multitenant Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. It enables customers to design, build and run LLM-powered applications (“Agents”) in a secure, enterprisegrade cloud environment. It provides:

  • A conversational chat interface
  • A semantic query engine & agent runtime

1.2 Main Technical Functionalities

The Service provides the following core capabilities:

The Service offers identity and access management, enabling secure user authentication, including single sign-on (SSO) capabilities. The Service integrates a semantic query engine. This capability allows for efficient indexing and intelligent retrieval of both structured and unstructured knowledge. The Service provides a dedicated and scalable runtime environment specifically designed for the execution of LLM-based agents and workflows. A foundational capability of the Service is its orchestrated data ingestion and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines. This enables seamless and automated processes for gathering, transforming, and preparing diverse datasets from various external sources, ensuring data readiness for agent processing and semantic querying.

Conversational Chat UI Service

Enables end users to interact with agents through a responsive, web-based chat interface. This Service provides a secure and intuitive channel for users to pose queries, trigger workflows, and receive agent-generated responses specifically within the context of manufacturing operations. It is designed to facilitate natural language interactions with the underlying Agentic Cloud Service, allowing users to leverage LLM-powered agents for domain-specific tasks and information retrieval.

All admin and user front ends are provided in English language.

1.3 Out of Scope Use Cases

The Service is explicitly not designed, intended, or authorized for the following use cases. Bosch is not responsible for the implementation of, nor is the software suitable for, any of the following:

1.3.1 Functional safety

The Service must not be used to implement any functional‐safety aspects of machine or plant in production or logistics.

1.3.2 Critical infrastructure control

The Service must not be used to control or monitor critical infrastructure-systems, such as energy, water, transportation, and other safety-critical public systems.

1.3.3 Health-critical or regulated medical applications

The Service must not be used for processing, decision-making, or diagnosis based on health or medical data.

1.3.4 Public Participation

The Service is not suitable for use cases that aim to ensure public participation (e.g. regional municipalities, public rehabilitation, assistance institutions) and therefore must be explicitly free of usage barriers.

2 System Requirements (customer side)

To use the Service via the web application, the customer must meet the following requirements:

2.1 Web Browser

The major or penultimate major versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari.

2.2 Network Connectivity

  • A stable internet connection with a recommended bandwidth of ≥ 5 Mbps per concurrent user
  • Network access to *.manufacturing-co-intelligence.com domains must be ensured

2.3 Screen Resolution

A minimum of 1280 × 800 pixels is recommended for optimal user experience

2.4 Log-In

Single Sign-On via customer’s Identity Provider (OIDC/SAML) or local user accounts

3 Web Application

The Service is accessible via a web application using one of the supported web browsers listed under section 2.1. The web application provides the full functionality of the Service, including the Agentic AI Hub and the Conversational Chat UI.

7 Customer Obligations

The following customer responsibilities are required for the proper provision and use of the Service:

7.1 Data Ingestion & Quality

a) The Customer is responsible for configuring and securing their source systems (S3, SQL, GraphDB, REST, etc.).
b) Customer is solely responsible for the quality, backup, and compliance of the data provided.
c) Customer is responsible for ensuring compatibility of it’s IT-Systems.

7.2 Network & Proxy Configuration

a) Any network or proxy configurations that might restrict access must be managed by the Customer. Transparent internet access for all users and endpoints connected to the Service is required to access the full scope of Bosch's products. If coordination is needed, it must be clarified with Bosch in advance.
b) If using Single Sign-On (SSO), the customer is responsible for providing and correctly configuring their Identity Provider.

7.3 Monitor Release Notes

a) The customer is responsible for regularly monitoring the release notes provided by Bosch to stay informed about any announced changes that may require implementations on the customer’s side.

7.4 Intended Use of Service Components

a) The customer will ensure that specific service components, such as the workflow engine, are used in accordance with the intended purpose of the Service. Specifically, any workflow created must contain at least one Agent node as a central element and should not be used for general-purpose automation tasks that fall outside the scope of the agentic framework.

b) The customer shall ensure that the Service is exclusively utilized for specific manufacturing-related use cases. It is expressly prohibited to use the Service as a general-purpose Large Language Model (LLM) interface or as a substitute for publicly available general-purpose LLM services (e.g., as a replacement for services provided by ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or similar offerings). Bosch reserves the right to monitor usage for compliance with this provision and may take appropriate action, including service suspension, in case of violation.

8 Data Processing

For the purposes of this Agreement, “Customer Data” means any data, content, files, prompts, text, documents or other information provided by or generated for the Customer in the course of using the Service. “Metadata” means technical, operational and usage-related information that does not contain Customer-specific content, including but not limited to usage patterns, performance metrics, response feedback, interaction metadata, correction loops and API telemetry.

8.1 Customer Data Usage for Service Improvement and Operation

Bosch processes Customer Data solely for the purpose of providing, operating, maintaining and monitoring the Agentic Cloud Service. Bosch may process Metadata across customers only in anonymized and aggregated form for the purpose of improving the performance, quality, reliability and security of the Service. This processing is performed in compliance with statutory provisions and the following regulations:

8.1.1 Product Usage Tracking

Bosch utilizes tracking technologies (e.g., tracking cookies) and collects data to monitor and analyze customer interaction with the Agentic Cloud Service. This helps Bosch understand how the Service is used, identify areas for improvement, optimize user experience, and manage resource allocation.

8.1.2 Prompt and Model Feedback

To enhance the performance and relevance of our LLM-powered agents and models, Bosch collects feedback on user prompts and model responses. This includes explicit user ratings (e.g., "thumbs-up" / "thumbs-down") on the quality or helpfulness of generated content. Any such feedback processing shall be limited to Metadata and shall not include the use of Customer Data or Customer-specific content for training or fine-tuning of shared or general-purpose AI models.

8.1.3 General API Telemetry

Bosch collects telemetry data related to API usage within the Agentic Cloud Service. This includes information on which APIs are called, their frequency of use, and performance metrics. This data is essential for monitoring system health, optimizing API functionality, capacity planning, billing and ensuring the stability and scalability of the Service.

8.2 Anonymization and Aggregation for Broader Insights

Bosch may use Metadata only in anonymized and aggregated form, provided that such anonymization is performed in a way that irreversibly prevents any identification of the Customer, individual users or Customer-specific content.

Any such anonymized and aggregated Metadata may be used for research, development and marketing purposes and may be shared with third parties, provided that no Customer Data or Customer-specific content is included or can be derived from such Metadata.

8.3 Deletion of Data

Bosch shall be obligated to delete Customer Data provided by the customer from all Bosch systems upon first request by the customer, or at the latest one month after termination of the contract, completely and irretrievably, unless there are legal retention periods to the contrary. Any use of such data must be ceased immediately.
The customer is obliged to export and save the Customer Data on his own responsibility in good time before termination of the contract or expiry of the aforementioned period.
